The Artists
The artists selected in this curated collection are: Winterkeep, Tomas Duchek, David Demaret, Linestyle Artwork, Jakub Jagoda and Aelin Laer. They’ve been painting digital & traditional artworks for more than a decade and their works have been featured in the famous card deck Magic the Gathering, as well as video games (Might and Magic, Lord of the Rings Online, Star Trek), RPGs and book covers.

The Twins
There are 2 Twin artworks in the collection, 22 editions in total.
Because of their dark nature, they only belong half to the “Light” collection. The other half belongs to the “Darkness” collection (planned for April 2023).
When the “Darkness” collection is released, the Twins from both collections will attract each other. Simply saying, get a “Twin” NFT from the “Light” collection to have pre-mint access to the corresponding “Twins” NFT in the “Darkness” collection, with a 50% discount.

What is Faerian?
Faerian was born from the observation that fantasy artists were cruelly missing in the art world. You usually see them in videogames, in illustrations for books, games, etc. but not in an art gallery and even less on the NFT scene. We decided to help them change this narrative.
Today, Faerian is the first fantasy-focused art gallery and community.
- We’ve been exhibited physically at the NFT Factory in Paris for 11 days in December 2022 & another 11 days in February 2023.
- We’ve been exhibited at the Mecenate Fine Art Gallery in Rome, Italy, in March 2023, and at the Youth Arts Office in Seoul, South Korea, in March 2023.
- On top of that, all the digital artists from this collection were selected by NFT.NYC for April 2023.
And it’s just the beginning!
We believe in the power of fantasy as an inspiration for everyday life.
We believe in a virtuous cycle between artists and their audience, the notion of art inspiring art. Thus, we have a dedicated community server on Discord. Members are invited to share their reactions to the art posted and fanart on the server. Faerian wants to give fanart a proper place and organizes contests to elect the best fanart available. This also allows the creators of the fanart to join the gallery.
Who is the team behind this?
Our biggest strength is, of course, our artists. They’ve worked for Magic the Gathering, famous videogames such as Lord of the Rings, board game illustrations, etc. Oh, and they were selected for NFT.NYC in April 2023, just that 🙂
The gallery is curated and founded by Cynthia Mayer, a long-time passionate of fantasy art, books and stories. She switched to the art world after some years working in fintech in California. She previously graduated from Duke University in UX, business and engineering.
Faerian is also notably supported by Thomas Abrahamsson, the founder of Elfwood, the first fantasy-focused website (1996-2016) that had over 35,000 members.

What is an NFT?
An NFT, or non-fungible token, is a unique digital representation of a piece of an artist’s work. Its primary purpose is purely symbolic: they don’t actually sell the file of their art – they sell symbolic ownership to their art.
NFTs are popular nowadays for digital artists who don’t have the asset of scarcity physical artists may have. Since they cannot sell an “original” physical artwork, instead they can sell a symbolic, unique representation of that artwork.
That unique representation is “minted” (= created), on a “blockchain”, which is a sort of large database shared by multiple computers across the world. Because of the way it is built, that database can never be deleted, meaning their artwork will live forever as an NFT once it is minted.
What is Whitelisting?
Whitelisting means you either have to participate on our Twitter OR our Discord, and as a reward you’ll be able to acquire a NFT one day in advance before the public release. So, more chances for you to get the artwork you prefer… 🙂
We have 2 levels of whitelisting:

Why do you focus only on fantasy art?
Faerian believes fantasy art is underrepresented in traditional art galleries. It’s such a shame because it transports people into a different world, in a way that no other type of art can. It has always been an important part of our cultures (we wrote a great article about it)
It makes people:

• and just daydream in general that there may be actual fairies living in the forest…

If they’re still available, yes. The full-size artworks of this collection are available as:
- Full-size digital NFTs, 1/1 editions on the Solana blockchain (Solsea)
- Full-size physical NFTs, meaning limited edition museum-quality prints, with ownership authenticated on the Flow blockchain (Kreatr.co)
- Original physical paintings & necklace for Aelin Laer’s artworks.

Are your NFTs environmentally friendly?
Yes! We always choose eco-friendly blockchains.
This Pocket-size collection will be minted on Ethereum because they recently changed their algorithm to be more energy-efficient, and they proved it on this article released in January 2023. Quote: “YouTube used over 175 times more energy watching Gangnam Style in 2019 than Ethereum uses per year.”
Our first full-size collection was previously minted on the Solana blockchain and the Flow blockchain. When you transact on Flow and Solana, you consume less energy than you would for a Google search or even an Instagram post.
Faerian is committed to letting people enjoy fantasy art while protecting our beautiful planet.
Who gets paid, Faerian or the Artist?
Faerian acts primarily as an art gallery, so we only take a commission on each sale with a percentage agreed upon with the Artist. A majority of the sale (+60%) always goes directly to the Artist, and so do the royalties.
