Winterkeep

Winterkeep is a digital 2D painter living in western France. For more than a decade, he’s been transporting people to the gates of fantasy realms through realistic landscapes.

Winterkeep is deeply passionate about crafting intricate, fantastical landscapes that transport viewers to realms of imagination. His work is a labor of love, meticulously handcrafted without the use of AI, with each piece standing as a testament to his dedication to detail.

His art is profoundly influenced by the rich tapestry of the Forgotten Realm series, the breathtaking beauty of nature, diverse landscapes, and the enchanting narratives of folklore. These themes serve as the canvas upon which Winterkeep paints his digital masterpieces, each one a unique journey into the fantastical.

Winterkeep draws inspiration from renowned artists such as John Howe, Alan Lee, and Mike Nash, whose iconic illustrations for the Lord of the Rings series have left an indelible mark on the genre of fantasy art. Their work has helped shape Winterkeep’s artistic vision, guiding him as he strives to create his own memorable and immersive worlds.

His creative process is deeply personal and requires a tranquil environment. Winterkeep prefers to work in a quiet, softly lit space, free from distractions. He finds it challenging to create when others are watching; solitude is his most trusted companion in the creative journey. As a digital artist, his computer has replaced traditional pencil and paper, providing him with a blank canvas where he can immediately apply colors, setting the mood and bringing his visions to life.

In essence, Winterkeep’s art is more than just a collection of images; it is a gateway to other worlds, an invitation to embark on a journey of the imagination. He looks forward to sharing these journeys with you through his platform.
