This artwork is the final submission from the artist Roeleke for the ‘Humanity’ event by the Faerian gallery. The artist created this piece in 3 days, inspired by a prompt that was submitted by the public. In a unique twist, instead of being interpreted by an AI, this time the prompt was brought to life by a human artist. The entire creative process was livestreamed online and at the NFC Lisboa event.

How is your final artwork related to the prompt?
— The boys is full of wonder and excitement staring at the space elevator. His dream is coming true. He is going to travelling the galaxy. He knows where he wants to go, he knows what he wants to do. He is imagining it all. Off he goes, on a big adventure wandering the galaxy to explore the limitlessness of his imagination… and to go beyond.
Why did you choose this prompt?
— Immediately images came to mind when I read the prompt. Short, concrete and yet open to wander within the galaxy of my own imagination.
Explain more your creative process:
— I knew I wanted it to be playful and colourful, the end result and the process. And I wanted to create something new or different then my usual work. I took some time to tune in and form an image and vision in my mind and then I just started. Along the way I came up with more ideas, like adding the platonic solids and the boy standing on a planet.
