Banshee, by David Demaret

Banshee, by David Demaret

"Banshee"

“Banshee” by David Demaret is part of the 22 artworks of the Collection #1 of the Faerian gallery on the theme of β€œLight”.

With dark green clouds surrounding her, light diffusing around her body like a scream in the night, and the whirling waters, this creature might seem maleficent, manipulative of the elements surrounding her. Beware, for she is only a banshee. She is a spirit in Irish folklore whose only role is to warn families of a death to come, and mourn with them. She carries the light of the Afterworld, to where she helps guide the souls when their time has come.
