Bayu Sulistomo

Bayu Sulistomo, hailing from Tangerang, Indonesia, is an eclectic artist with a passion for illustration, graphic design, and motion graphics. With over a decade of experience, Bayu’s artistry is centered around creating visually captivating designs that often encompass a blend of traditional and digital elements. 

Bayu’s journey began in 2011, and he quickly established himself as a versatile artist. His expertise ranges from digital illustrations and commercial art to augmented reality experiences. His illustrations are particularly noteworthy for their attention to detail and vibrant use of color. One of the defining aspects of Bayu’s work is his ability to adapt and excel in different environments. He has worked on a plethora of projects, including book covers, pop-up books, movie posters, and even wedding invitations. His talent for mural illustration is evident through his work with Jakarta Mural, where he conceptualized and designed an array of mural-based projects for clients such as Pegadaian and Bank Negara Indonesia. 

In addition to his freelance projects, Bayu co-founded Napping Boys / Visual Hermit Collective, where he was instrumental in conceptualizing, designing, and handling products’ merchandising, display, social media, and visual marketing. Bayu’s art is a reflection of his unending curiosity and dedication to his craft. His mixed-media approach allows him to experiment with various textures and forms, creating art that is not only visually appealing but also deeply immersive. 

Currently based in Bali, Indonesia, Bayu is focusing more on his own projects, continually pushing the boundaries of his art. Through his creations, Bayu Sulistomo showcases the limitless possibilities of illustration and design, inviting viewers into his world of creativity and innovation.
