Jerzy “Irbis” Gorczyca (b. 1978) is a Polish digital graphic designer, illustrator, sculptor, and academic teacher renowned for his intermedia art. Utilizing digital 3D, sculpting, scanning, printing, and animation, Jerzy creates immersive works that explore themes of inner existence, souls, and dreams. “Don’t try to bury your emotions, be transparent” is his motto. His creative process involves constantly adapting and experimenting with new software and technologies like AI and VR, allowing for rapid iteration and innovative expressions.
Jerzy believes that art serves as a therapeutic outlet, transforming personal fears and anxieties into evocative scenography that inspires diverse interpretations. With exhibitions at the International Centre for Graphic Arts in Kraków, Super Chief Gallery in New York, and numerous virtual platforms, his work bridges traditional and digital realms.
“Art allows me to release and transform my fears into something greater,” he explains. “Through my art, I want my audience to be more connected to their emotions. I want my collectors to tell their own stories, and I want to hear those as well.”
