Jaewook Lee, a South Korean artist based in Ulsan, has been expressing his love for nature through his art for the past two years. His work primarily utilizes oil and acrylic paints, oil pastels, and colored pencils, creating a diverse palette that brings his natural subjects to life.
Jaewook’s artistic journey began at the age of five. He has honed his skills through various art academies and artist studios, and continues to learn through books and online resources. His biggest influences are contemporary artists, artists from previous generations, and nature itself. His work often explores themes of nature, with a particular focus on trees, flowers, and cats.
His creative process involves observing nature, drawing inspiration from his own photographs and images on the internet, and then sketching and completing his drawings based on these ideas.
Jaewook has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including the Glocal Art Market in Ulsan, the K-NFT Drop Party <Querencia>, The 28th Beautiful Eyes Art Festival, the NFT International Exhibition <NFT as ART> in Japan, and the Rhythmical NFT Club <Univers Collection>.
While he has yet to receive any awards or recognition for his art, Jaewook’s primary goal is to have a positive influence on people and evoke good feelings through his art. He hopes his art gives viewers a comfortable and warm impression, reflecting the tranquility and warmth of the natural world he so loves to depict.
